Since 1984, Carol
Angell has been in private practice as a Marriage Family
Therapist. She specializes in emotional and relationship
healing. Carol has a Masters in Social Work (MSW) from San
Diego State University and he B.S. from Boston University. While a
student at SDSU, she served as President of the National Federation of
Student Social Workers and was on the boards of both The National
Association of Social Workers and The Council on Social Work
Education. She has extensive training in mind/body psychological
techniques. Her training includes Thought Field Therapy
(TFT), The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Tapas Acupressure
Technique (TAT), Healing From The Body Level Up I, Comprehensive Energy
Psychology, Creative Visualization, Re-evaluation Counseling and Hypnosis. She
also has extensive training in marital therapy from such leaders in the
field as John Gottman, PhD and Michelle Weiner-Davis, LCSW. Carol is a
certified group leader for the 'Michelle Weiner-Davis Keeping Love Alive
Program'."
Carol's experience in
mental health and social services is extensive and varied. She was the
founder and director of the San Diego County Battered Women's
Services. She was also the director of The Escondido Youth Encounter
(EYE), a youth and family
counseling agency. She
gained valuable multi-cultural experience while working as a counselor
and community organizer for the Family Service Association.
She went on to be the Assistant Chief of County Mental Health's Division
of Children and Adolescents where she did extensive training and
organizational consultation throughout the community. She
has experience as an employee assistance counselor through
her work as both on-site and an affiliate at the
Health And Human Relations Center (HHRC).
Carol has done
training, consultations and seminars throughout her professional career.
She has trained or consulted with over 200 agencies and organizations.
She has taught seminars on many topics including Life Without
Limits, Talking So People Will Listen and Listening So People Will
Talk, The Emotional Freedom Technique, Stress Reduction, Dealing
With Difficult People and Parenting Issues.
She is an active
member of the California Association of Marriage Family Therapists
(CAMFT) and The Association of Comprehensive Energy
Psychology. |
